Linkshare blogs in Japan

A couple of months ago I looked at Linskhare’s Japanese site and was really shocked to see how different it is in attitude and looks than the US site.
Today, while browsing for marketing blogs in Japan, I came across the official LinkShare Japan Blog. Now, i don’t speak or read Japanese at all, but clicking on some of the links and seeing the screenshots are interesting nevertheless.
It seems like Linkshare Japan is much more approachable for affiliates than the US company, or any affiliate company in the US, really. For example, random clicking aroung the Linkshare blog yielded a trip to a part of the blog/site where they provide zillions of website templates presumably to help affiliates jumpstart their Linskhare powered web sites. Or the fact that they not only have a funky corporate site AND a blog, they also have a site called the Linkshare Showcase, which looks like a well-made affiliate site, made by Linskhare itself: it provides links to the latest and greatest offerings by Linkshare merchants. It uses linksynergy links, so I am not sure where the commission lands, or if it’s just tracking traffic from the Showcase for reporting purposes, but it’s an interesting site.
I have been getting more and more interested in Japanese marketing lately and this discovery fuels that as well. It seems like the Japanese market is a 180 degree turn from the European and the US based mindset, in many more ways than I previously expected. Now, if only I could read Japanese.

Thank you very much for a note about the LinkShare Japan website that shows your deep insights on it. All the LinkShare Japan staff members were really amazed that you understand the characteristics and purposes of our websites accurately even if you do not understand Japanese at all!!!
As you see, we are trying to be approacheable to our affiliates as much as possible. Some of the attempts are the blog, showcase and templates. Besides, we set up individual deal maker session for big affiliates with our merchants, and have symposiums and big exhibitions where our merchants can show their products and/or services and can have opportunities to talk with affiliate face to face.
The comment above is by one of our staff who is in charge of LinkShare blog. She found your blog first and told us about your site.
She commented that she didn’t expect to be on a blog abroad. Her “motto” in operating the site and the blog is to be sincere and to be playful, she said.
