Another interesting thought: the same imedia newsletter i pulled the previous poll results from had an article on the increasing popularity of “advergaming” (promotion and ads in PC and console games). That, and game-banners, those ads that engage users by showing branded Flash mini-games instead of boring web banners also point toward a new trend: the marriage of games and advertising online.
Now may i point out the fact that according to the previously quoted Harris study “downloading or playing games is up from 13 percent to 18 percent”.
