New layout (not yet)

I finally sat down to work on the new layout for the blog, and i went back to the one i used while i was at Blogger, but i use new colors (spring!). For a sneak preview click here. (UPDATE: It’s now up on this blog!) (And let me know how you like it, and first of all, whether the color sheme keeps things readable!) I have to work on the archive templates and then it will be done!
I spent quite a few hours trying to make a 3-column layout is CSS myself, but in the end i gave up and again hacked one that i used before to achieve the desired result. But it’s still kind of cool to see it and know that I worked on it, and it’s beautiful (i think!).

This is the first blog I have ever seen, and I must say I am impressed, to say the least. Not only is the layout easy on the eyes, but the content could not have been more suited to topics that interest me! I used to be an avid amateur photographer, but I’ve sort of lost interest lately. This blog introduced me to lomography, and now I must confess that I am completely intrigued and excited to pick up the habit again. I think I will put my fancy new Canon Elan in the closet for awhile and pick up my 1950’s vintage Argus (bought for $5) and see if it can produce some Lomo-like images. If your budget can’t stretch enough to get a Lomo, you should check out used camera shops for any cheap old 35mm rangefinder camera that comes with an instruction manual. I used to collect cameras of this type, and many of them produce interesting, “painterly”, lo-tech results. Experiment! Thanks again for putting together such a nice site. I will definitely keep coming back. - Matt
